KLIMT INSPIRATIONS

5th & 6th grade: Students have been working on different painters and styles. One of them is Gustav Klimt. His art and paintings were the inspiration for our students. The works done by them include the following aspects: 1- Painting the background. 2- Taking a photo of the child in a 'Klimt' position- either sleeping or a calm face. 3-Sketch the outline shape of a hood and a cloak. 4- To include patterns that Klimt used eg. circles/ ovals, rectangles, eyes, flowers and swirls. MONDRIAN ART PROJECT

In the early 20th Piet Mondrian invented a new style that used vertical o horizontal lines to create squares or rectangles, which he filled with primary colors along with white and black. His abstract art offers an opportunity to create a variety of abstract expressions using just lines, shape and color. Take a look at these paintings. They are outstanding!!
